The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth. The machines come in the 'Slot', 'Blood Donation', and 'Fortune Telling' flavors and also provide small prizes in exchange for resources. The 'Slot' machine is pretty self-explanatory. The 'Blood Donation' machine may 'pay out', exploding and providing you with either 'The Blood Bag', which increases your max.

Temperance is a passive item added in Pack 1: Mom's Closet.
